Treydens 1st Birthday

The birthday boy started his day with a chocolate birthday doughnut.... mmm.

He liked it. A LOT. He made a huge mess and had more of it on his face than he actually had in his belly. He was also kind enough to share with everyone, even Zoe.

Me and my birthday boy!

We waited ALL DAY for Dad to come home and put Treyden's birthday present together. Here he is "helping."

And after watching and waiting so patiently it was finally put together! Yay! A car of his very own.

...with a perfect place to put the bottle.

The boys in their cars....

Daddy and the birthday boy...

Opening the rest of the presents.

And finally.... BIRTHDAY CAKE!
It was a fun day. He was wore out by the end of it. He went to bed at eight and never made a peep until eight thirty the next morning. We love you Treyden! Hope you had a good first birthday!

A Year Ago Today...

I cannot believe how quickly Treyden's first year with us has gone. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home. I can remember every detail from that day.

Although it has happened way too fast it has been so much fun watching him progress and grow. He has quite the personality. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle, which I hope he never outgrows! He loves to give kisses and always has one waiting for me every morning when I get him out of his bed. He is so soft hearted and gets his feelings hurt really easily, which I would say he gets from me. He LOVES his big brother and always gets upset whenever Dev and Deagan are wrestling because he thinks Dev is hurting Deagan... and he cries when Deagan cries. Whenever Deag is sitting on the floor Treyden races over to him and crawls all over him trying to give him hugs and kisses. Sometimes Deagan is in the mood for it, but most of the time not. I personally think it is the sweetest thing ever. He also loves Zoe. The two of them have become pretty close. Unlike Deagan, she is always in the mood for a good kiss!

He is also really funny. He makes the most hilarious facial expressions I have ever seen. It is impossible to get a picture of them all... I tried... but here a couple.

This would be his one eyebrow raise.

His crooked smile.

And this would be his latest facial expression....

not sure what it is, but it's FUNNY.

At ONE year old... he is not walking yet, just along furniture, but soon. He sleeps through the night most nights, sometimes he wakes up once. His favorite time of the day is bathtime with his brother. He likes trucks and cars. He loves soft blankets and cuddling. He still loves his binkie. He loves bananas. He rubs hair, just like his brother. He dances to music. He can pretend to talk on the phone. He waves bye and blows kisses. He can do patty-cake and peek-a-boo. He loves food and wants a bite of everything (hopefully this means he wont be a picky eater!) He has 8 teeth. He can say mama, dada, hot and tries to say shh.

Dear Treyden-

You have brought such happiness into our family. We are so blessed to have been chosen to be your parents, and so grateful. It has been so much fun to watch you learn new things and grow into your own little person. You are such a happy little boy and so full of life. It is a rare occasion that you are ever mad or sad. So far, you are a mama's boy and I LOVE it. But, you are always so excited to see Daddy when he gets home from work and practically jump out of my arms to get to him. You love your big brother and admire all that he does. You are such a sweet boy and we love you so much. Happy 1st birthday!

A Boy and His Car

Meet Coupe. He is Deagan's new best friend. They go everywhere together... the store, the pharmacy, California, Texas, the Post Office. He loves Coupe. Can't you tell??

Deagan got this for Christmas from Riley and Josh. He is pretty much in it 24-7. He has his own set of keys which he hangs in a special place. No one can touch them... He is very protective of his Coupe. It goes to the car wash atleast three times a day. It always has a full tank of gas, andit has our family picture hanging on the roof on the inside. (isn't that so cute??) He put it there himself. No one is allowed to ride in it, except Treyden. But he isn't allowed to use the "real" keys... only the spare key??? Haha. It is kind of a pain sometimes having this thing driving around in our house, it isn't very small... and our house isn't very big. But, it is funny to hear all the things he comes up with. He goes on all kinds of adventures. It is by far one of his favorite toys. Can't wait to see what kind of adventures he goes on this summer.... OUTSIDE :)
Since he has had his car he does things like this...

When he gets in trouble and I am trying to talk to him he says he can't hear because his windows are up. So, I tell him to roll the window down and he puts his finger on the door and pushes down like he is rolling the window down. It was funny.... the first time. And there was the time when he got of the car and he was just standing next to it and I asked him what he was doing and he said that he had to pull over and let his boy pee... and then he says this,"Hurry up boy!" Haha. It was hilarious. Sometimes I catch him laying under it pretending to change the oil... or in pantry loading food in the back of it because he is at the grocery store.

He definitely has quite the imagination. He is always coming up with something new and making us laugh. The day he can REALLY drive will be the happiest day of his life. He can't wait. Sometimes I can even talk him into eating all his food because if he does he will grow big so he can drive... Oh Mr. Deagan. I love you.

Hancock Family 411

I have really been slacking on the blogging lately... so there is a lot to catch up on. And no pictures, sorry. Here it goes...

I will start with Christmas. We had a great Christmas. We were spoiled, the boys especially. Deagan was really excited this year so it was fun to watch him. Treyden didn't know what was going on and was more interested in the wrapping paper than anything else. We had lots of yummy food and spent lots of time with family, which is always the best part of Christmas.

We didn't do anything special for New Years. Dev and I stayed up and played cards and welcomed the New Year very quietly while our two boys slept. It was nice. I can't believe another year has already passed. It is amazing how much things can change in a year. It was a good year, we were very blessed... especially with our little Treyden. I hope 2010 is just as good!

I celebrated my 22nd birthday on Friday. It was a nice birthday. Dev took me out to eat and then to a movie. It was all I asked for... a little alone time with him. I can't even remember when our last date was... Mother's Day maybe?? So, thanks babe. I needed that. And thanks to everyone else for all the birthday wishes and gifts. You all made my day. It has been a great 22 years, some years harder than others. But all were definitely amazing and I wouldn't change a thing! I am so blessed and so grateful for my life and everyone in it.

As of now... me and the boys are at my mom's house while Dev is in Mexico. Yes, Mexico. Hunting. For a week. He left this morning and I already miss him terribly. So do the boys. We didn't want him to go, but let him because we love him. Now we are counting down the days til Daddy comes home. Hope this week goes by quick!
