Happy Birthday Mom!

Tomorrow is my beautiful mother's birthday and I just wanted to let her know how much I love her. You are truly amazing, and the strongest person I know. I hope you have a fabulous birthday, and I wish we could all be there to celebrate with you. Just know that we are thinking about you and that we all love you... HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)
Alright I had to post about this... It's pretty funny cuz Cayla and I were just talking about this last night and then it happened again to me today... I am sure I am not the only one this happens to.

It seems like EVERYWHERE I go when I have the boys with me people are constantly staring, and every once in awhile I get a comment... like this... "Oh there is no way these are your boys, you are way too young to have two babies." And I always smile back and say, "Well they are mine and I am probably not as young as you think." That sounds kinda harsh, it doesn't come out that way though, I am never rude about it... And we sit there in the aisle of the store discussing my age and how young I look... and then there are days like today when someone says this... "Oh what a good big sister you are, pushing the cart for your mom" Haha, I don't even know what to say to that one. I have never heard that before...

And I will never forget when Devin I first moved here, the mailman brought our mail to the door since we didn't have our mailbox put in yet and I answered the door... and he asks me if I could get my mom or dad. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I just laughed, I think he was a little embarrassed... it was pretty funny.

Ok so maybe I should be a little more understanding, I mean I am under five feet tall (barely!) and I do still look like I am in Jr. High. And someday I am sure I will appreciate their comments more than I do now... but until then, it just gets tiring hearing the same thing over and over EVERY time I go somewhere with them. I know no one is trying to bother me or be rude so I usually just laugh about it and keep on going with my business... but sometimes I feel like when people look at us I just wanna say "I KNOW I KNOW I look too young to be their mother, but I am. I am 21 years old, my oldest is 3 and my baby is 2 months..." Anyone else ever feel that way?

But who knows maybe they are just staring cuz my kids are so dang cute!

This was Treyden on Sunday, so handsome... Deagan looked rather handsome as well, but he wouldn't let me take a picture of him... Shocking.

These last two pictures were from yesterday... Deagan was in heaven... WATER, MUD, and his DUMP TRUCK. That's all he needs in life.

When Little Boys Don't Take Naps...

Today while I was feeding Treyden I noticed Deagan was being awfully quiet, which means one of two things... either he is doing something he shouldn't be or he is asleep. Sure enough I walk in and here he is...

sound asleep. In Treyden's swing of all places. That can't be comfortable... he is kinda big for that little swing... and what kind of position is that?! Oh my little Deagy, maybe next time you will listen to me when I tell you you need a nap...

What will he think of next...

So, today while I was making lunch this cute boy and I got into an argument about whether he could have a piece of candy or not... He was standing in the pantry with the jar ready for me to say yes... which I didn't, I told him after he ate some lunch... This was the reaction I got back..."I said goodnight!" and he slammed the door shut.

I couldn't help but laugh... it was pretty funny, especially since he opened the door real fast because it was dark. I asked him where he had come up with that... and then it hit me, SHREK! Princess Fiona yells it at Shrek and Donkey and then slams the door, just like Deagan did. That would be the second thing he has caught onto off that movie. The first being the wonderful phrase "stubborn jackass!" That one, not so funny.

Deagan is always making us laugh... he is always saying the funniest things, things I have never heard of. He has the sweetest little voice and cutest personality.

I never know what he is going to come up with next...

Monster Trucks!

Last night was the best night of Deagan's life. Dev got tickets to the Monster Truck show in Prescott. Ever since we told Deagan about it he has been asking us everyday if it was Saturday so he could see the monster trucks... finally yesterday we got to say yes. Dev said he slept the whole way to Prescott so he was ready to go when they got the show. They had good seats, nice and close but Dev said it was really loud... didn't bother Deagan any. I wish I could have seen the look on his face... This was it right before they left, he was a little excited...

They had fun and I am glad that they got to spend some time together, it is good for both of them. I know it meant a lot to Deagan and that he will always remember it. Treyden and I had fun too :) I think he is tired of the camera already... he is so cute though and Deagan is not into taking pictures anymore.

These were from this morning... the boys of the house dressed in their Sunday best. Handsome handsome handsome. Aren't I a lucky girl?! I get to see these three everyday.

The lighting on this one wasn't very good but I thought it was adorable... gosh we have cute kids :)

Just A Little Update...

We haven't been up to much, just doing our normal everyday thing. We did go to the valley last weekend though. We went down to see Alvin and Jessica's sweet baby boy Lewis at the hospital. He had to have heart surgery shortly after he was born. He did awesome though and is home already. He is adorable, and such a strong little guy. Dev's parents were down there also and we all stayed in Riley's one bedroom apartment. It was a little crowded but we had fun and it was good to see everyone.

The weather has been fabulous here in Camp Verde so we have been spending a lot of time outside. It will be too hot here before we know it so we are taking advantage of it while we can! Deagan spends his afternoons on his four-wheeler or ridin' his bike. We have also been going to the park with the Fish boys once a week, but I am thinking we should try for atleast one more day... Deagan loves it and takes such good naps after playing so hard : )

Devin got him and Deagan tickets to the Monster Truck show in Prescott this Saturday. Deagan is so excited, he has been talkin about it non-stop. Hopefully Dev will remember to take some pics so I can post about it. Treyden and I will be spending the evening at home by ourselves, I am not brave enough to take him. It will be nice for Devin and Deagan to have some time by themselves, Deagan loves spending time with his daddy. So, anyway that is pretty much all we have going on, here a few pics of our cute boys.

Our sweet Treyden... he is getting so big... isn't he adorable?!

Our big boy Deagan, stopping for a rare camera shot. Haha, he has much better things to do these days. What a stud.

This is my favorite outfit of his, he is already about to outgrow it though so I had to take some pics of him in it...

This is how they spend every morning. Laying in our bed together. Treyden is fine and content when he knows Deagan is right there. He usually just lays there staring at him... I love these boys.

My new toy

If I had to pick one chore that I hated doing the most it would probably be mopping the floors... I absolutely dread mopping my floor, but it has to be done so I do it. Well, I let Deagan give it a try one day and he managed to break the head right off. Don't know how, but he did so I have resorted back to using my old, cheap mop over the last couple of weeks in search of a new one. Watching HSN one day I stumbled upon this beauty...

A Bissel Steam Mop

They were having a really good deal on it so I thought I would give it a try... surely Deagan can't break this one? Hmm... well on second thought maybe I won't let him use this one... anyway let me just tell you, it is amazing! I absolutely love it. It makes mopping so much easier and dare I say fun?! You just have to put water in it, plug it in and mop away. No cleaning solution whatsoever. And because of the steam it sanitizes the floor. Ah I love it. So, if any of you hate mopping as much as I do I highly recommend this little machine, it is a very good investment :)

These Boys...

make me smile

We went and got our Deagy boy on Wednesday. We were so happy to have him back home with us. We missed him so much. He was not too thrilled to be going home, but once we got there he was happy. Him and Zoe have been inseperable since he walked in the door. Here are some pictures from the last few days...

This one is after Deagan devoured four thin mints... he loves em almost as much as his mama. All I can get out of him these days are cheezy smiles. Oh well he is still adorable.

If any of you know Deagan you know if he has a sippy in one hand he has his hair or someone elses in the other... he has done this for as long as I can remember...

I walked in on this after I was done feeding Treyden... Deagan in his underwear, kicked back watching TV in Treyden's swing eating some fruit loops... which apparently he helped himself to. Haha, I found it quite hysterical.

The rest are just some cute ones of our baby boy... He is finally feeling better, his cough is gone and he is not nearly as congested. He never lost his appetite the entire time he was sick though, and I think it shows... look at that sweet belly.

He is starting to get a lot of hair, it is adorable. It sticks straight up.

This ones my favorite. They change so fast over these first few months... I can't believe he is already a month old. Where does the time go?

It's been pretty quiet around here... a little too quiet

Friday evening Riley called us and asked if she could steal Deagan for the weekend... she had plans for them to go swimming and to go to the zoo. Of course Deagan was excited about the idea of getting to go somewhere and was already packin his bags before we even said yes. Dev and I have felt so bad for him lately. We haven't gone anywhere or done anything since Treyden has been sick so we figured it would be good for him to get out and go have some fun. Dev met Riley in Payson that night and dropped him off. It is always sad to be away from your babies, and I always have a hard time but I know he is having fun and he is being well taken care of. Riley is so good with him and Deagan always has a good time with her. They went to the zoo Saturday, which he loved and have went swimming several times. I don't think I have even talked to him on the phone for more than 30 seconds, crazy kid. So, anyway we were supposed to go and get him today but Dev's parents were down at Riley's and decided they wanted to see a little more of him and are taking him home with them. He will be there until Wednesday. I don't know if I can make it... haha... I am sure he is havin no problem though, and won't even want to come home. It has been so quiet around here, it is crazy how much noise that little boy makes. Noise that usually drives us crazy, but we are finding ourselves missing it. Zoe is depressed, she sleeps in Deagan's room and is wondering where he is. I think Treyden even misses him... It is amazing to me to see the bond the two of them have already formed. Treyden's eyes light up and he starts kickin his tiny legs whenever Deagan talks to him. It is so sweet.

We are takin advantage of this quiet time to get some much needed housework done and to get Treyden better. We took him to the hospital Saturday because he was not getting any better, not any worse but definitely not better. There has been so many sick babies with RSV we thought we better get him looked at one more time just to be safe. They took chest x-rays and listened to his lungs and everything and told us he definitely had bronchitis and that it would just take some time to get over, but we were right to bring him. So, we got more medicine to help him breathe better and came home. He seems to be doing a lot better today, still coughing and congested but better. We are so grateful that he is finally getting better, it breaks my heart to watch our little baby cough so hard he uses his whole body and cry because it hurts so bad. And grateful that he did not get any worse, things can change so quickly when they are this young. So, hopefully he beats this bronchitis soon so we wont have to worry anymore. Until then we are all waiting for our Deagy boy to get home. We miss him so much, but are glad that he is getting the chance to go have some fun and visit everyone. Those of you who know Deagan know that being cooped up inside with mom and a sick baby all day is no good for him. He needs to be outside or busy doing something at all times. He is definitely all boy. He did pretty good for me all week last week though, but I don't know how well another week of it would have gone so I am really glad that he was able to get away for awhile. Hopefully he will start missin' us soon and will want to atleast talk on the phone!
