The Latest Chit-Chat from Deagan

So... I wish I was smart and knew how to take all these videos and make them into one... but I dont... so you will just have to watch them all, sorry. So, Devin and I wanted to give you all a little taste of how our evenings are with Deagan. It is usually spent in our bed where Dev and Deagan wrestle... he loves to be tickled so of course he gets plenty of it from Devin...We could lay in bed for hours laughing together and listening to Deagan talk... He is so funny, and loves to put on an act... he definitely knows when the camera is on him. Silly kid! He is our life, as you can tell from the ridiculous amount of posts and pictures we have of him. We are so lucky to have been blessed with such a healthy and wonderful little boy, life would not be the same without him! We love you so much Deagan.

Every night before Deagan goes to bed we have to do "Shoe Ol' Nelly" and "This Little Piggy" several times for him, he loves it... So, in this last video Dev wanted to see if Deagan could do it... haha... he did pretty good, you cant hear him very well because he whispered it, but it was so cute.

Fun Weekend!

So, last weekend we drove up to Snowflake... Friday night I went to dinner and a movie with my mom and little brother. We went and saw Cloverfield which wasn't too bad. I wasn't sure what to expect and worried I would get motion sick because I had heard of several people who had. But, I didn't and it was a pretty good movie, dinner was good also. I love going to the movies, and going with them made it that much better. I miss doing stuff like that.

After dinner I hurried to Grandma Sherry's so I wouldn't miss any of the yummy Valentine's dinner she cooked for us girls (Amanda, Jessica, Jolene, Melissa and I). Yes, I ate two dinners... haha... and they were both very delicious, how could I not?! Anyway, the dinner was so nice, I wish I would have got some pictures... the table was set up so beautiful and the food was fantastic, as always! I have never had a bad meal at Grandma and Grandads.

The next morning I woke up early and went back to Grandma Sherry's and had some delicious french toast and we all got started on our craft day! We made three different things and had someone over to talk to us about coupons and saving money... it was so much fun, but we made the biggest mess. Ha. Poor Grandma I am sure she will think twice about volunteering her house for any future craft days. Later that night I had Kam and Sarah's reception to go to, so I left a little early for that. It was a very nice reception and Sarah looked beautful. I am so happy and excited for the two of them...

So all in all I had a really good weekend... and where was Devin and Deagan during all this?! Spending some serious father, son time together. It was good for them and so nice for me to get a little me time. Thank you Devin. You are such a good husband and father... love you.

Here are some pictures of the stuff I made... I didnt finish one project so I don't have a picture of it yet...

It was fun to see the girls and relax and catch up on stuff... I am looking forward to many more craft days :) Thank you for everything Jo... I had a blast.

Messy Room

Last night we had Greg and Cayla over for dinner. We have been to their house several times so we have a lot of catching up to do... two down, six to go... haha it is probably more than that... Cayla is a fantastic cook so I was kind of nervous... it turned out ok though, thanks to Grandma Sherry's yummy meatball recipe :) Thank you. It is so funny when they come over because Castin and Tanner walk in the door and go straight for the toy room, they don't mess around. Haha. Deagan loves having them over to play... they all get along really well, most of the time. We have had a few fights but for the most part they play good together. The playroom is always trashed... toys everywhere... as you can see in the pictures below... but they have a good time and that is all that matters! It has been so nice having them as friends, it definitely makes being away from home a little easier.

Being Silly With Mom

Deagan is famous for being especially hyper right before bedtime... he loves to ask for sippies, crackers, cookies, apple jacks... whatever he can get out of us. It is somewhat of a fight for about ten minutes and he finally gives up, but every once in ahwile I give in... I cant help it! Here are some pictures of Deagan and I being silly one night while Dev was trying to sleep... We were listening to my ipod and looking at some pictures I have on it, Deagan thought this was so fun! I took some pictures to capture the moment... he loved to take pictures in the dark, he laughed everytime the flash went off... Dev was not too happy while all this was going on. I am so grateful for the time I get to spend with Deagan... I love being home with him all day and watching him discover new things and listening to all he has to say lately. He is becoming quite the talker. He is so funny, some of the things he does amaze me.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but about the moments that take our breath away.

It is moments like these I am most thankful for.

Silly Boy!

So as most of you know, Deagan has a little obsession with wheels and anything that turns... He loves to pretend like he is driving. He was watching his normal morning cartoons and I was in the other room... all the sudden I heard him laughing so hard and yelling, "I drive, I drive!" I went into the front room where he was and this is what he was doing....

He was trying to drive the steering wheel they had in the cartoon. He thought it was the coolest thing, but he couldn't figure out why he wasn't able to grab onto it.... it was so funny. It kept him entertained for quite awhile too. Silly boy!

Deagan and his "Weesy"

Here is the video of Deagan on his new horse that I said I would post so you all could see how cute it is. He got it for Christmas from his Grandma Melissa and Grandpa Mike. He loves it. He is just now getting to where he can get on and off it by himself. We haven't had any bad wrecks with it yet... knock on wood. He has done really good on it so far. Deagan named him Weesy... which is also how he says horse. He is starting to talk so much, I am amazed at all the new words he learns everyday... he always has something new to tell us. The funniest things he says lately are, "I busy" "I funny" and "Zip it." He has also learned the word fart... so now everytime he farts he lets everyone know... and he isn't quiet about it either, he is very loud. He is so hilarious. He keeps me laughing all day long.

Jump High!

Deagan loves playing with his daddy. His favorite thing to do with him lately is to have Devin throw him up in the air. The higher the better. He thinks it is so funny. When Dev is gone Deagan tries to get me to do it, but its just not the same. Definitely not as fun. I can't throw him nearly as high as Devin does. Deagan loves his daddy very much, and misses him while he is at work. Whenever Deagan hears the doorbell ring he runs to the door as fast as he can... "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" When Dev is home they are inseperable... whatever Devin does, Deagan does... I love them both so much, I am very lucky to have such great men in my life :)

Twilight!!

I am so excited for this movie to come out... I just finished the book and it was excellent. Thank you Cayla for recommending it to me. It is kind of long, but once I got going I couldn't put it down. I just hope the movie is as good as the book was. Here are pictures of Bella and Edward. I am not so sure if Edward really looks as gorgeous and dreamy as he sounds like in the book though. I am sure it will still be an excellent movie, I am excited to see it and excited to read more of the series!

A Nice Visit

For new year's Dev's parents came over to see us. They had not seen our new house since we got all settled and moved in so they were past due for a visit. They brought Dane with them and were nice enough to bring my little brother with them as well. Dev, Mike, Melissa and I went out to dinner for new year's/Melissa's birthday and left Deagan with Dane and Brazis. We tried a new place called Nic's and it was so good. I got a steak and Dev got crab legs and shrimp. Mm mm. The turtle chessecake for dessert wasnt bad either. The next day they left and my brother stayed the rest of the week with us and it was so nice to have him here. We didn't do anything exciting but I think he had a good time. Deagan definitely enjoyed his company. They played hard, and it was very nice having Braz here to help entertain him. Deagan loved it. My mom came down on Friday and stayed the night. I was so happy that she decided to come and stay, I miss her so much. They left on Saturday and Deagan was very sad to see them go... he has missed his buddy this week... I just cant compete now. Ha. I guess I am not as fun. Oh well. It was so nice to see everyone, and we wish you would come and visit more often :) We love having you all in our home and Deagan loves the company.
