I love the way Deagan dances. It is hilarious. And no, he didn't get his moves from me. Although, I am not sure mine are much better! I think he pulls this whole river dance thing off... haha. I don't know where he picked it up... he loves to dance though, whenever there's music there is Deagan, dancing his little heart out. He rarely lets us get him doing it on video, once he sees the camera he gets shy and stops. We were lucky tonight though, crazy kid! There is never a dull moment when he is around. We love you Deagy!

Easily entertained...
When we first got Zoe Deagan was a little hesitant as to how he was going to like having her around. Which shocked Dev and I, we thought for sure he would be so excited to have a puppy of his own. He loves dogs. I guess it is a different story when she is stealing our attention away from him. He liked her, he was just extremely jealous. He has warmed up to having her around though and they have become really great pals. More than once already I have found them cuddled up in front of the TV sharing crackers or apple jacks... probably not too good for her! Anyway, Dev was messing with her the other night and making her bark... Deagan thought it was so funny! This is how he usually is around dogs, they don't have to do much to entertain him... I don't know what it is but he has been that way since he was really little. They fascinate him.

So far this week....
So, on Monday we got the bad news that we wouldn't be able to get the house we have been trying to get. A few things didn't go quite how we planned so we are looking again! We really loved that house but I am sure we can find something else we like. If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be! Dev and I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason so we are trying not to get too down about it. Buying a house is not an easy task! So, hopefully we will find another one soon! I will keep you all updated :)
We gave Zoe her first bath... she wasn't too happy about it either. She did really good though, better than we anticipated. She looked so funny. Deagan thought it was pretty cool, but thought it would be even more cool if he could join her. Sorry kiddo, not this time. Haha.
All clean!
Zoe has been so much fun. Deagan loves her... she was a little scared of him at first, but now she loves to play with him. They are always chasing each other around. He has issues with her playing with his things though... he is always telling her "No Zoe, that's Deagy's!" So naturally while Deagan is asleep, Zoe always has one of his shoes or one of his stuffed animals in her mouth. Haha she is like the mischiveous little sister. I love it!
Since I can remember Deagan has been infatuated with vacuums... he loves them! He is always wanting to play with mine. So, when his Grandma Melissa found a little one just right for him she couldn't pass it up. He got it for his birthday and he loves it! Dev is not a fan of it however.
Here he is "vacuuming" some fruity cheerios he helped himself to and dumped all over the floor. He had to take a little break and eat a few. What would I do without my Deagan?
Deagan also got some freakin awesome cowboy boots from my mom for his birthday. They are the cutest things I have ever seen. He got a pair of Wranglers and a cute shirt to go along with them. Now all he needs is hat! Here he is trying his boots on... he loves to wear them with only his diaper on. Crazy kid!
Dev went and bought Guitar Hero III for our Wii last night. I hear it is a fun game, but very addicting. I have yet to try it out... maybe I will practice while he is at work... get really good at it and kick his butt when we battle! Yeah right!
My three children... you keep me busy, but I love you.
Birthday Party!
I know I am a little late... but better late than never!
It's a good thing we had Brooklin there or the rest of his presents wouldn't have been opened. Thanks for the help Brookie!

Last weekend we went up to Snowflake for Deagan and Devin's birthday party at Dev's parent's house. We left Friday afternoon when he got off work and we knew we would hit some weather but we had no idea it would be this bad. The last three times we have went to Snowflake we have ran into bad weather. Dev get's mad at me because I get so freaked out about driving in the snow. This is what the roads looked like... it was beautiful but so scary. It took us an extra hour to get up there. It sucked, but atleast we made it there safely!
Zoe does so well in the car, as long as someone is holding her. She found a comfy spot right behind my head... she slept there most of the way.... I was very uncomfortable however... haha. Goofy dog!
We had the party on Saturday. Deagan was already sick, but we were hoping he would feel better before the party. No luck. He was still feeling pretty bad and was a joy during the party! Poor kid. Who wants to be sick on their birthday?! He didn't want anything to do with anyone or anything. He did enjoy helping Dev blow out the candles though and we did get him to open a couple of his presents.
Blowing out the candles with Dad!
Opening presents! Trucks, trucks and more trucks!
These were probably the only presents Deagan opened... he just wanted to get down and play with his new toys. He loves trucks, cars, motorcycles... anything with wheels basically!
It's a good thing we had Brooklin there or the rest of his presents wouldn't have been opened. Thanks for the help Brookie! Devin was a little impatient and opened all of his presents before the party so he didn't have much to open. He did get a really cool quilt from Grandma Sherry and Jolene. They made it with all of his old Little League Shirts. They worked hard on it, and from the way it sounded it wasn't easy. Dev has informed me that this quilt is not to be used... yeah right! That is what a quilt is for!

So, besides Deagan being sick it was a pretty good day. I think everyone else enjoyed themselves. It is always nice to get together and see everyone. Thank you all who came and thank you Mike and Melissa for letting us do it at your house :)

Happy Birthday!
Devin and Deagan's birthdays are only four days apart so I thought I would just do their Happy Birthday's together. Dev's is actually today and Deagan's is on the 25th.

This was one of the first pictures of Devin and Deagan together. It is definitely one of my favorites. I love the both of them so much and are so grateful to have them in my life. My life would not be the same without them. I cannot believe how fast our years together have flown by. They have been the best years of my life. We have accomplished a lot and have grown a lot.
So, since Dev is turning 20 I thought I would list 20 things/reasons I love about him... although there is so much more!
I love how...
1. You are an amazing husband and father
2. You love me for me
3. You are constantly making me laugh
4. You always put others feelings and needs before your own
5. You work so hard and are an amazing provider for our family
6. When you say you are going to do something, you always do it... even if it takes awhile :)
7. You are good at everything you do, there is no beating you!
8. You make me a better person
9. You are very intelligent
10. You never judge others and see the good in everyone
11. You always tell me I am beautiful
12. You are terrible with surprises, you always tell me what you got me for Christmas or my birthday before I get a chance to open it.
13. You are always very honest with me and I know you would never lie to me
14. You like to go out and do stuff as a family and are always thinking of new things for us to do
15. You are not afraid to try new things, except when it comes to food... so picky!
16. You always turn the music up loud and sing to every song you know
17. Passionate you become over things
18. You try and teach me things about electricity and and your job, even though you know I wont remember tomorrow.
19. You are a great listener, unless Reba is on.
20. I love you because YOU'RE YOU!
I am so amazed with Devin and all that he does for our family. He works so hard all day and still comes home with a smile on his face and never complains. I am so thankful for all that he does to provide for us so that I can stay home and take care of Deagan. He is an amazing husband and father. He does all that he can to make sure Deagan and I are happy. We have so much fun together, we are always laughing... it is the greatest blessing to be married to my best friend. I love you so much babe. Happy birthday.
I love this picture of Deagan, he was probably only about a month old in it. I cannot even believe our baby boy is going to be two. It has gone by so fast, and is coming even faster. Deagan is so much fun, our lives would not be the same without him. He makes our days better. He is such a sweet little boy, but he is definitely giving us a taste of the terrible twos... and I hear three is even worse. I cant imagine! Deagan has the best personality he is always making Devin and I laugh. He is very smart and can say pretty much anything we tell him to. He is really into puzzles lately, and knows most of his animal sounds and already tells everyone his name and how old he is. He talks all day... but we love it. It would be quiet around here if he didn't. Dev and I both believe we are better people today because of Deagan. We are so grateful for him and are reminded of this everyday. He has brought such a sweet presence into our home.

"He makes our days longer, our nights shorter, our love stronger and our home happier"
I am so thankful to have the both of them in my life, I love them both so much. Happy Birthday!

A couple of surprises and one good weekend!
On Thursday I decided to go and get my hair TRIMMED since Dev was home and I thought it was a good opportunity. Plus, I needed one so bad. I asked the lady TRIM my hair and fix the layers that had grown out. Everything was going good, people were telling me how good it was going to look when she was done... so of course I was not worried, why would I be? She had done hair for several years, or so she says... I am now questioning this statement. So, she gets done and I look at it and I am horrified... my hair is gone... I literally thought it was a joke... and I am not one to get depressed over my hair, it's only hair... it will grow back but this was so bad... words cannot explain. I wish I would have taken pictures. I went home and put it in a ponytail and it was like that until I got it fixed. I couldn't even look at it. We already had plans to go to the valley for the weekend so I made an appointment with a girl down there. I was hoping she could fix it without losing all my length.
So, we went down Friday night after Dev got home from work. We stayed with Riley which is always so nice. Thanks Riley. When we got there, Dev left to go and get Deagan's birthday present. I have been waiting for three weeks to blog about this! Haha. Isn't it funny how addicting this becomes.
Meet the newest member of our family... ZOE!
Isn't she so sweet? She is so tiny. Deagan loves her so much, he is constantly laughing at her. She loves him too, they make quite a pair. She is always trying to cuddle with him and following him around. He is pretty good with her, but I don't think he realized how tiny and fragile she is. She is very good with him though. She is very calm for a puppy and so sweet. She is 8 weeks old and only about a pound in a half. She will get up to five pounds, but she was the runt of the litter and they dont think she will get very big at all.
My New Look...
So, Saturday was my appointment and I was so scared because I knew the only way to fix it would be to cut it off. She did a really good job though. I have been trying to find the positive in all this. I have always wanted to cut my hair short but have never really had the guts... and there is no way I could have ever convinced Devin to let me cut it like this. So maybe its not a tradgedy after all.
I am still kind of in shock and it still makes me sad when I see pictures of my long hair. But I do like it and I think it would have taken something like this to happen in order for me to ever cut my hair this short. Deagan is still a little unsure of it though, he loves playing with my hair, especially when he is tired... he is a little confused now when he goes to play with it. Things could have been a lot worse, and worse things do happen to people... its just hair it will grow back :)
Last night we went over to our friend Crysta Willis' house for a visit. It had been so long since we had seen her and we wanted to see her new house... she has been it for a year, but to us it is still new, we hadn't seen it yet. All of her family was down because he little brother had high school rodeo down there. It was so nice to see them all and catch up on things. We left way too late though, we were exhausted when we got home. It was a good weekend though. Thanks again Riley for letting us stay with you :)
Valentine's Day

Early Thursday morning Deagan and I got up and made Devin a Valentine's Day breakfast. Deagan had so much fun "helping" me. I let him wake Devin up and we served him breakfast in bed. Dev took the day off so we could spend some time together, which was nice because we were able to get a few things done that we have been needing to, but we havent gotten the chance because he has been working a little late.
Devin and Deagan surpised me with these beautiful roses. They smell so good and are so pretty. Thank you guys. I love them.
Later that night instead of going out, because it is much to hard with Deagan these days... I made Devin dinner. I made pork chops, twice baked potatoes, salad and some rolls... It was pretty dang good too if I do say so myself. For dessert we had Dev's all time favorite... root beer floats! Haha. All in all it was a really good day, besides one tragedy which I will post about later.

Another Week
I don't know what I would do all day if Deagan wasn't here to entertain me and keep me busy by making tons of messes for me to clean up... my days would be boring! That is all I do! Although it can be frustrating at times I am very thankful that I am able to stay home with him and take care of him and the things that need to be done around the house. I love watching him learn new things everyday and I love the time we spend together! I wouldn't have it any other way.

All I have to say is too cute. I could have stopped him, but he was having so much fun... it made the water look really dirty though... needless to say, I need more shaving cream!

I was in the kitchen making dinner and I knew he was up to something because he was being quiet. Dead giveaway! I walked in on a butt naked Deagan with his basket of shoes... throwing them everywhere... crazy kid! He just recently decided that it is so much more to run around with no diaper on and takes it off whenever he gets the chance!

He knows when he is doing something he is not supposed to... he usually gives me a cheesy grin just like that one.

This was so funny! Deagan has always had a thing with shoes... doesn't matter whose they are, he wants to wear them... here he is with a pair of mine on, he had us rolling!
So, aside from all that... Saturday we had the inspection done on the house we are trying to buy. One step closer! Everything went really well and it was nice to go and look at it again... it made me even more excited... our official closing date is March 18th! Yay!
After that we went over to Greg and Cayla's and since it was such a beautiful day we took the boys outside and they had so much fun. Castin has a four-wheeler which Deagan quickly learned is the coolest thing ever, we couldn't get him off once he figured it out... he rode it until the battery went dead. He thought he was so cool, and he did really good... came close to a couple of good wrecks but got lucky. We will have to get him one of his own so they can ride together. The boys also have a little bike with training wheels, they thought it was so fun to drag it up the hill and watch it roll all the way down... silly boys. The weather has been so nice the last few days, it was great to go outside, relax and let the boys go wild. Deagan loves playing with the two of them... I wish I would have remembered my camera.
I guess last weeks excitement was a little too much for Deagan to handle because he got sick... he hasn't been terrible, but he has a fever that keeps coming and going. I hate seeing my little guy sick. Today he was a little better, so hopefully tomorrow he will be back to normal.

that is so true!

Happenings From Last Week...
Last week was a pretty exciting week for us. As many of you know Deagan sleeps with Devin and I... which is my fault... I admit. I have learned my lesson though and WILL NOT allow the next baby to sleep with us :) It was sweet for awhile, but Deagan has grown up and is now taking up the entire bed! Well... not anymore, as of last week he now sleeps in his own bed. Yay! He had a hard time with it at first... so did i... i hate hearing him cry and just having to ignore him, but I know it is the best thing for him and the only way he will ever learn. Dev had to work out of town for a few days so I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to try it out... Deagan could scream all night and Dev wouldn't lose any sleep. So when the first afternoon nap rolled around I put him in his bed and after about and hour and ten minutes of screaming... SUCCESS! He slept so good too, wore himself out from all the crying. He has been doing much better though... the crying doesnt last quite as long.... ha... we are hoping if we can make it through this week we will be home free! We will see how it goes.
Moving on to what Dev thinks is the most exciting thing that occured last week is our purchase of a Wii. I went to Wal-Mart to do some quick grocery shopping and I just happened to go back to electronics and see that there were three Wiis... after sitting and staring at them for about five minutes trying to decide whether or not to get one I left... got my groceries and went home... I kept on thinking about it so I called Dev and told him and he told me to get back there and get one... so I hurried back to the store, worried that they would be all gone... this was probably fifteen minutes after I had seen them the first time... I raced back to electronics, Deagan thought I was crazy... luckily there was still one left, Dev would have been pretty upset if I came home without one. So, guess what he has been doing all week... haha... it is pretty entertaining to watch him play, Deagan finds it funny as well.

Dev playing baseball...

Deagan thought he was pretty cool when Dev let him try out the Wii... he just laughed everytime he swung the remote.
So... Dev and I have been wanting to buy a house over in Camp Verde which is about 15 mins away from Cottonwood. We've been looking for awhile now and we finally found one we really like... we put in an offer, and on Thursday we found out that the owner actually accepted our offer... so if all goes well we should have a new home pretty soon! We are super excited to have our first home. I know we will make many great memories there... and Greg and Cayla are just around the corner... walking distance! Woo hoo! That makes it that much better. We have went to church with Greg and Cayla and there are a lot of young couples in their ward and in their subdivision so we are excited about that! Hopefully we can make some more friends... Here are a few pics I took from the website...

Here is the front of the house... obviously... The front landscaping is done, but we have to the back ourselves which we would prefer anyway... ha... Dev is so excited to start that project...

And my favorite part... the kitchen! Love it! I am hoping having this big kitchen will inspire me to cook up some mad meals!
I will take some better pictures next time we are there... I am so excited to paint and decorate... Dev thinks I am crazy because I am already thinking of paint colors... maybe I am getting a little carried away, we still have awhile, and something could go wrong between then and now... it is still exciting though, I can't help it!
Friday afternoon Dev's parents and little brother Dane came to visit for the weekend. It was nice to see them, but we keep waiting for the time when they are going to bring Josh with them... we have been here four months now and he is the only one who hasn't been to visit! What is the problem?! Just kiddin... Anyway we took them to Camp Verde and showed them the new house... I think they were impressed... Melissa and I did a little antiquing and then we went home... later that afternoon Riley showed up and she, Mike, Melissa, Dev and I went to dinner while Dane stayed home and watched Deagan. He is such a good babysitter, we got home and Deagan was in his pjs and slippers ready for bed. Thank you so much Dane. We owe ya one! It was nice to have them come and visit again, Deagan loves the company but hates to see everyone go... come back anytime!
