Keepin' Busy

Dev has been gone for a little over 2 months now and the boys and I are doing our best to keep ourselves busy so the time will go by quicker. We spent the first month at home because the boys were sick and it was brutal. So since they have been better we have either been in the valley with Dev or in Snowflake. Last week we stayed with my Mom for a few days and then Dev came up and we all spent the rest of the weekend in Snowflake. The boys had a blast. They played hard and got to spend time with some cousins they dont get to see very often.

This is Treyden's picture smile. Lovely isn't it.

It was a fun and quick week. Another one down, only 20 more to go!

Birthday Parties!

After looking at all my pictures I have decided that I need to let someone else take the pictures. I didn't get near enough of the boys on their special days... I am so bummed. I guess I get too caught up in all the fun I forget to take pictures... that and my kids never have enough time to stop and take a picture. Hopefully I will remember this next year...

Treyden had a Lightning McQueen party this year. We just had it at home with family and a few friends. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and the kids played outside. We sang happy birthday and he blew out his candles and opened his gifts.

... and a 4wheeler ride from big brother to end his special day!

We told Deagan he could do whatever he wanted for his party this year and he decided he wanted to go to Jumpstreet and then Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Both mine and Dev's families came down and we all went and played at Jumpstreet for awhile and then headed to dinner. It was a fun day and Deagan loved every second.

On the way to Jumpstreet! Deag was so excited. He loves it there.

Jumping!

Going down the slide.

Braz in the foam pit!

I can't believe both of their birthdays have already come and gone... Their parties were simple and fun. I figure we should keep things simple while we still can. That, and I am not a party planner. I try, but it never seems to work out the way I want it to. Oh well, the important thing is the boys had a good time and they got to spend time with the people who love them the most. I just wish I would have taken more pictures! Dangit!

The Big 5!

This handsome boy turned 5 on Friday! I can hardly believe it. He has grown up so fast.

Deagan is so fun and so full of life. He is hilarious and is always making us laugh. We never know what he will come up with next.

We love him so much and are so blessed to be his parents. We love you so much Deagy Boy! We hope you had lots of fun on your 5th birthday.

*I have pictures from his big day, but I left my camera in the valley with Dev so that will have to be another post.

Happy Birthday Treyden!

Guess who is 2 today?!

Happy Birthday Treyden Konner!

You have the silliest personality and pull some of the goofiest and dirtiest looks ever. You give the sweetest hugs and kisses. Thanks for all the smiles and the laughs.

Our family wouldn't be the same without you. We hope it's the best 2nd birthday ever!
We love you so much.

His shiny-fast-jeep bike

Deagan is a funny kid. While most kids are busy riding their bikes he is pushing his. He pushes everything. If it has wheels he is pushing it. It's a little obsession he has. He literally pushed the wheels off his first bike. It is missing a training wheel, the tires are flat and it looks like it has been run over. But he doesn't care, he is proud of it and he still loves to push it... Dev made a deal with him a couple months ago that he could get a new bike, a bike that he would only be allowed to RIDE and he would not be allowed to push it around at all... the old bike would be for pushing. So Deag did his part of the deal and he got to go and pick out a new bike. And he calls it his shiny-fast-jeep bike. He also picked out a rockin' Toy Story helmet to go with it.

He doesn't ride it for very long, but atleast he rides it... and he still prefers to push the old one over riding the new one... if it had a motor and a steering wheel we would never get him off it.

Christmas 2010

We had such a good Christmas. I can't believe it has come and gone already. We spent Christmas Eve in Snowflake and went up to my Mom's Christmas afternoon. I am so grateful both our families live close enough for us to spend time with both of them. The boys got way too much stuff. Like they do every year. Deagan got the new Leapster Explorer from Santa and he loves it. I was worried it might be too hard for him, but he has had no problems. He also got a ton of trucks, and a bow from Dev. I didn't get a picture of him with it but as soon as I do I will post it. It is so stinkin' cute... I mean cool.

Playin' his Leapster... such a cutie

Treyden got a 4-wheeler from Santa... it took him a while to get on and ride it but once he did he loved it, a ton of trucks... the most important being his very own Chuck... Deagan got one for Christmas last year and they fight over it all the time so I was very happy to see that he has one of his very own now.

The boys with their "Chuck" trucks

And they both got a trampoline from their Nanny. They will have a blast with it once it warms up. Thanks Mom :)

Now onto me! I got super spoiled by Dev... he surprised me with this...

(thanks Sarah and Kate for helping him pick it out :))

I LOVE it! It takes the best pictures. I have had so much fun with it. I was so shocked when I opened it. I had no idea. He is so good about surprising me and he spoils me too much. Everyone does. I loved every one of my gifts.

Dev shopped for himself this year which made it easy... I didn't have to worry about getting him anything and he got exactly what he wanted... a new bow. So he was very happy about that. He did all the shopping for all the men of the family. Am I the only one who thinks they are incredibly difficult to shop for??

We all had such a good Christmas and are so blessed. It was so nice to spend time with family and we got to talk to Josh which was so exciting, we have missed him so much. He sounded so happy and is doing such a good job. We are so proud of him.

The rest of these pictures are just random ones I took playing with my camera. Hopefully now that I have it I will be better about updating my blog... hopefully :)

Playin catch with Dude.

Deagan with his Ford just like Poads.

Stinky the garbage truck. Thanks Grammy and Dude :)

Most of Deagan's time in Snowflake was spent on Ol' Yeller, his 4 wheeler. The mud puddles were pretty much dry after he was done with them.

Doesn't the look on his face say everything? He is the happiest kid in the world on that thing. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!

Halloween

Deciding on what the boys were going to be for Halloween this year wasn't hard. Deagan wanted to be the same thing he was last year, and Treyden didn't get a choice. Haha. I already had his, one that Deagan refused to wear. I was thinking maybe Deagan would be all for it this year since he wore his costume alomost everyday the week of Halloween, but when it came down to it he was NOT having it. It took A LOT of convincing to get him in it, but he finally gave in as long as he didnt have to wear the helmet.... Treyden on the other hand had no problem at all. He loved his. He probably would have wore it to bed. Once they were both ready we headed next door to Grandpa Spud's and Deag wouldn't get out of the car... he didn't want anyone to see him. So he trick or treated the rest of the night without his costume on. Dang kid. Oh well, guess we will try again next year! The chicken was a big hit though!

The one and only pic Deag would let us take...

Cutest Chicken EVER

I love making these fun memories with my boys, even with the meltdowns. They are growing up fast. They are so fun and I love them so much.
