Catching Up

Well since my last post a lot has happened... let's start with the cool jobs that Dev got to work. He got quite a bit of overtime when the snow storm came through. Here are some pics...

Valentine's Day. My mom and Brazis came down that weekend to see the boys so Dev and I got to go on a date. It was nice to have a little alone time, but we were anxious to get back home with the boys... funny how that happens. We are not real big valentine's day people so we weren't planning on going on a date, we were fine with the idea of stayin home with our boys, but it was nice to get the chance to go so thanks so much mom. Got any plans for next year? :) Being the romantic guy that my husband is he surprised me with my very own shot gun! I know, I know all you ladies are jealous! Haha. I really would have settled for a much cheaper gift, say some flowers?? Buuut, he has always gotta go the extra mile. Thanks babe. I love it. I hope you liked your ten dollar cd and bag of sweet tarts! Anyway, it was so nice to get to spend some time with my mom and little brother. They definitely don't make it this way near enough as we would like them to.

Birthday Party for Devin and Deagan. Saturday was Dev's 21st birthday. Woo Hoo! We went up to Snowflake for the big celebration. We did his and Deagan's together since they are only a few days apart. Deagan was sick AGAIN! He was sick last year for their party... I hope he is not sick every year. We may have to cancel all future parties if that is the case because he can get a little grouchy. He started coming around once all the kids showed up though, thank goodness!

Here is a video of Deagan hitting the pinata. After about five minutes we finally decided that someone should pull the string while Deagan gave it one more big hit. He was so excited.

Like the cake? I made it myself... It is supposed to be a race track...it looked better before Deagan helped himself to the two other cars on it. I pictured it coming out a lot better, but oh well I tried.

Dev got some good stuff too... The boys and I got him a bbq grill, he got some new steps to put on his truck and utensils and a cover for his grill. It was a fun party though and I think everyone had a good time. Thank you all who came and helped out and big thanks to Mike and Melissa for letting us do it at your house and for cooking the yummy dinner :)

Since we have been home we have had a house full of sick people... all four of us have been sick. Dev and I have just had colds and I am pretty much over mine. Deagan has a really bad cough and runny nose, but is finally getting over it. Just in time for Treyden to get a runny nose and little cough. I tried the best I could to keep Deagan away from him but it is so hard when all of us are sick. I took both the boys to the Dr. on Monday and she was not too concerned about either of them so I really hope they get better and not worse. It is so scary having a sick newborn.

My house is a mess and we still have not developed any type of schedule, but that will all come in time... I am trying not to get stressed out about it and just let things be. Things are definitely a lot more hectic with two kids. But we love our new family of four and wouldn't change it for the world. We have two beautiful little boys who bring such a sweet spirit into our home.

My Amazing Husband

The last few days have been pretty rough... I started feeling sick Saturday morning while we were doing some grocery shopping and thought I could just go home and sleep it off... well that didn't work and I felt even worse on Sunday so I called my Dr. who informed me I have mastitis. LOVELY! Just what I wanted to hear. Haha. So, anyway while I have been recovering from this Dev has totally been picking up the slack around here. He has been awesome... he has made dinner for Deagan and I every night and has been SO helpful with the boys. He has even been changing poopy diapers, which NEVER happens due to his extremely sensitive gag reflex. I am such a lucky girl to have this amazing husband who works hard all day and still comes home and takes care of me and our two boys so that I can rest and get better. Thanks babe, I love you so much.

The first two days being home by myself with the boys was definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually really easy. Probably because one of them sleeps all day. I know things will soon be changing and I will be pulling my hair out by the time Dev gets home from work everyday, but for now things are good. I am lovin' having two little boys, it is still kinda hard for me to believe. It really hit me the first time I was folding laundry and I had two seperate piles for my two kids. Haha. Or when we all lay in bed together every night and just laugh. It never felt like anything was missing from our family before but now that Treyden is here it just feels more complete. I love my boys... all three of them.

Introducing the newest member of our family... Treyden Konner Hancock



It all started tuesday night. My contractions were really strong and only about three to four minutes apart. We headed to hospital thinkin' the next time we came home we would have our little boy. Well, we get there and I am only dialated to a two so they sent me home. We came home, didn't sleep at all cuz of the pain and went to my dr. appointment the next morning at 10. He sent us straight to the hospital. He came in and broke my water at 2:00 and two hours and three pushes later he was here! He was 5lbs. 2oz. and 18" long. Exactly one pound heavier and one inch longer than Deagan.

Proud new big brother. He could hardly wait for us to get home so he could hold his new baby Treyden. He only got a quick peek at him through the nursery window since it is RSV season and they wont let any kids in any of the rooms. Poor little guy.

The experience this time around was SO much better than it was when I had Deagan. I made it to 37 weeks so they weren't too concerned about being early. I didn't have to be flown to Phoenix or take any medicine to try and stop my labor, it was great. The hospital was so nice, our room was big and my nurses and doctor was amazing. I couldn't have asked for better. We came and did our thing and were home 24 hours later. We are so grateful that everything went smoothly and that our little boy is healthy. He is such a good baby and we love him and Deagan so much. It is so exciting to see them together.

Deagan has been really good with his baby brother. He was a little unsure of him at first but is coming around and wanting to hold him all the time. He hates it when he cries and is always talking sweetly to him. I know he is going to be a great big brother. Everything is going good and we are all doing good. Dev goes back to work tomorrow so it will be my first day home alone with the two boys... we will see if I am singing a different tune by than!

Like Father, Like Son

Dev has been going out calling fox lately and Deagan has been dying to go. So, today when Dev got home the two of them got their camoflauge on and headed out. Deagan was so excited, he loves spending time with his Daddy... especially when it involves driving in the Duramax and being outside. They weren't gone very long and I get a picture of this on my phone...

I didn't think they would actually kill one since you have be pretty quiet in order for them to come in... and Deagan being quiet, never happens! Dev said he sat there quietly though, waiting for a fox to come running in. He pushed the buttons on the call box when Dev told him to and sure enough one came in... Deagan spotted it and Dev shot it. They were both so excited.



This one is my favorite. Haha... it's a little heavy.


I asked him if he was sad and he said, "No I am not sad but the fox is."

36 Weeks

Well we are at 36 weeks now and still no baby. I have never been pregnant this long before and I am wondering how women go the full 40 weeks! I am so uncomfortable and tired. We are so anxious to meet our little boy, but so grateful for every week that passes and he stays put. The longer he lasts the better off he is. I guess since I went about 35 weeks with Deagan I thought I would hit 35 weeks and this baby would be here... not so much. I went to the Dr. yesterday and he said that the baby's head was down pretty far so I don't know how much longer we have but we are definitely ready for him to be here, as is everyone else! I know that he will come when the time is right though. Dev and I are just trying to enjoy every second we can as our little family of three because it is all about to change. The schedule that we have come to follow and become comfortable with is about to be turned upside down, but we are ready and excited for it. It is such a good feeling to feel so prepared and ready this time, with Deagan we had nothing ready and everything felt so chaotic. I hope things go smoothly this time and we make it home safely with our new baby boy. Then the chaos can begin!

We had my baby shower last Saturday and I got so much good stuff, this little boy is already so loved and so spoiled. Thank you so much to everyone who made it and we missed those who couldn't. Thank you Mom and Melissa for doing it for me, it was so nice.

35 weeks!

Well we made it to 35 weeks! Yay! I had an appointment yesterday and everything looks really good. The Dr. told us that from here on out we would be safe to deliver in Cottonwood, huge relief. Tomorrow we are headed to Snowflake for my baby shower so hopefully this little boy wont decide he is ready while we are up there! I don't feel like I am going into labor anytime soon though so I am not worried.

Here is Deagan, Zoe and I trying out my new rocking chair Dev and Deagan got me for my birthday. It is super comfy and will be so nice to have with the new baby. I really haven't gotten to sit in it much though, Deagan is quite fond of it and doesn't like sharing.
