My new toy

If I had to pick one chore that I hated doing the most it would probably be mopping the floors... I absolutely dread mopping my floor, but it has to be done so I do it. Well, I let Deagan give it a try one day and he managed to break the head right off. Don't know how, but he did so I have resorted back to using my old, cheap mop over the last couple of weeks in search of a new one. Watching HSN one day I stumbled upon this beauty...

A Bissel Steam Mop

They were having a really good deal on it so I thought I would give it a try... surely Deagan can't break this one? Hmm... well on second thought maybe I won't let him use this one... anyway let me just tell you, it is amazing! I absolutely love it. It makes mopping so much easier and dare I say fun?! You just have to put water in it, plug it in and mop away. No cleaning solution whatsoever. And because of the steam it sanitizes the floor. Ah I love it. So, if any of you hate mopping as much as I do I highly recommend this little machine, it is a very good investment :)

These Boys...

make me smile

We went and got our Deagy boy on Wednesday. We were so happy to have him back home with us. We missed him so much. He was not too thrilled to be going home, but once we got there he was happy. Him and Zoe have been inseperable since he walked in the door. Here are some pictures from the last few days...

This one is after Deagan devoured four thin mints... he loves em almost as much as his mama. All I can get out of him these days are cheezy smiles. Oh well he is still adorable.

If any of you know Deagan you know if he has a sippy in one hand he has his hair or someone elses in the other... he has done this for as long as I can remember...

I walked in on this after I was done feeding Treyden... Deagan in his underwear, kicked back watching TV in Treyden's swing eating some fruit loops... which apparently he helped himself to. Haha, I found it quite hysterical.

The rest are just some cute ones of our baby boy... He is finally feeling better, his cough is gone and he is not nearly as congested. He never lost his appetite the entire time he was sick though, and I think it shows... look at that sweet belly.

He is starting to get a lot of hair, it is adorable. It sticks straight up.

This ones my favorite. They change so fast over these first few months... I can't believe he is already a month old. Where does the time go?

It's been pretty quiet around here... a little too quiet

Friday evening Riley called us and asked if she could steal Deagan for the weekend... she had plans for them to go swimming and to go to the zoo. Of course Deagan was excited about the idea of getting to go somewhere and was already packin his bags before we even said yes. Dev and I have felt so bad for him lately. We haven't gone anywhere or done anything since Treyden has been sick so we figured it would be good for him to get out and go have some fun. Dev met Riley in Payson that night and dropped him off. It is always sad to be away from your babies, and I always have a hard time but I know he is having fun and he is being well taken care of. Riley is so good with him and Deagan always has a good time with her. They went to the zoo Saturday, which he loved and have went swimming several times. I don't think I have even talked to him on the phone for more than 30 seconds, crazy kid. So, anyway we were supposed to go and get him today but Dev's parents were down at Riley's and decided they wanted to see a little more of him and are taking him home with them. He will be there until Wednesday. I don't know if I can make it... haha... I am sure he is havin no problem though, and won't even want to come home. It has been so quiet around here, it is crazy how much noise that little boy makes. Noise that usually drives us crazy, but we are finding ourselves missing it. Zoe is depressed, she sleeps in Deagan's room and is wondering where he is. I think Treyden even misses him... It is amazing to me to see the bond the two of them have already formed. Treyden's eyes light up and he starts kickin his tiny legs whenever Deagan talks to him. It is so sweet.

We are takin advantage of this quiet time to get some much needed housework done and to get Treyden better. We took him to the hospital Saturday because he was not getting any better, not any worse but definitely not better. There has been so many sick babies with RSV we thought we better get him looked at one more time just to be safe. They took chest x-rays and listened to his lungs and everything and told us he definitely had bronchitis and that it would just take some time to get over, but we were right to bring him. So, we got more medicine to help him breathe better and came home. He seems to be doing a lot better today, still coughing and congested but better. We are so grateful that he is finally getting better, it breaks my heart to watch our little baby cough so hard he uses his whole body and cry because it hurts so bad. And grateful that he did not get any worse, things can change so quickly when they are this young. So, hopefully he beats this bronchitis soon so we wont have to worry anymore. Until then we are all waiting for our Deagy boy to get home. We miss him so much, but are glad that he is getting the chance to go have some fun and visit everyone. Those of you who know Deagan know that being cooped up inside with mom and a sick baby all day is no good for him. He needs to be outside or busy doing something at all times. He is definitely all boy. He did pretty good for me all week last week though, but I don't know how well another week of it would have gone so I am really glad that he was able to get away for awhile. Hopefully he will start missin' us soon and will want to atleast talk on the phone!

Happy Happy Birthday!

Today is our sweet Deagy Boy's 3rd birthday. I cannot believe he is already three years old. It seems like just yesterday he made his unexpected early arrival into this world. It has been so much fun to be his parents and watch him grow up over the years. Although he can be quite stubborn at times, he can be such a sweet boy. He has the kindest heart and sweetest smile. I had to post this picture of him cuz it shows his funny personality perfectly. Deagan is always making us laugh with all the funny stuff he says. We never know what is going to come out of that little mouth of his. He is too smart for his own good, and I am not kidding. He catches on to stuff so quick and does not forget a thing. Sometimes it is scary. Haha.

This year he became a big brother. He is doing an awesome job as we knew he would. He is very helpful and loves Treyden so much. He struggles at times when all the attention is not on him, but he is getting better. He cannot wait until he is big enough to play trucks with him and ride bikes :)

Some of his favorite things right now are... TRUCKS(and they always will be), Playdoh, Reading books, Riding(more like pushing) bikes around, Taking rides with Dad, T-Ball, riding his four-wheeler and varmit calling.

Today I woke him up and told him happy birthday and this was his reply... I don't want another birthday. Haha. Since we did his party in Snowflake last weekend he thought that was his real birthday and he didn't want another one. Silly boy. We were going to have a little party here at the house for him and invite all his little friends, but with him and Treyden being sick and the two Fish boys sick we thought it was probably not a good idea. We will have to wait until everyone is feeling better. We took Treyden to the dr this morning because his cough got worse throughout the night. Turns out he has bronchitis. Poor baby. We have to give him breathing treatments every four hours. Hopefully the treatments work and he can get to feeling better, I hate having a sick newborn, too scary. So, Deagan got to spend his third birthday in the drs office. Poor kid. We have a couple special things planned for later though so hopefully that will make up for it.

Deagan, we love you so much and are so grateful to have you in our lives. You are such a sweet boy and we hope you have a wonderful third birthday.
-Mom and Dad

Devin- I didn't want you to feel left out since I didn't get a chance to make a special post for you on your birthday :) I just wanted you to know how much I love you and how much the boys love you. You are such an amazing husband and father and we are so lucky to have you. You take such good care of the three of us... you work so hard so that I don't have to and you are always making sure we don't have to worry about a thing. I love our amazing life and I feel so blessed to be able to share it with you. I hope you had a fabulous 21st birthday, love ya babe.

Our Boys

It is so amazing to me that Dev and I have two boys... I never thought I would be 21 years old and have two kids already. They are both adorable and I love to see the two of them together. I am so blessed and so grateful for my beautiful family.

Deagan helping Daddy give Treyden a bath. He is such a big help.

Our little Treyden is getting bigger everyday and changing so much. He is adorable and such a good baby.

How did I get so lucky?

Catching Up

Well since my last post a lot has happened... let's start with the cool jobs that Dev got to work. He got quite a bit of overtime when the snow storm came through. Here are some pics...

This was the job in Oak Creek Canyon

The crew

Dev and Greg up on the wood

He also got to go work with the hotstick crew out of Flagstaff on the 230 kv line on Kasner Mountain. They had to ride Snowcats in 26 miles.

Never a boring day at work for Dev!

Valentine's Day. My mom and Brazis came down that weekend to see the boys so Dev and I got to go on a date. It was nice to have a little alone time, but we were anxious to get back home with the boys... funny how that happens. We are not real big valentine's day people so we weren't planning on going on a date, we were fine with the idea of stayin home with our boys, but it was nice to get the chance to go so thanks so much mom. Got any plans for next year? :) Being the romantic guy that my husband is he surprised me with my very own shot gun! I know, I know all you ladies are jealous! Haha. I really would have settled for a much cheaper gift, say some flowers?? Buuut, he has always gotta go the extra mile. Thanks babe. I love it. I hope you liked your ten dollar cd and bag of sweet tarts! Anyway, it was so nice to get to spend some time with my mom and little brother. They definitely don't make it this way near enough as we would like them to.
Birthday Party for Devin and Deagan. Saturday was Dev's 21st birthday. Woo Hoo! We went up to Snowflake for the big celebration. We did his and Deagan's together since they are only a few days apart. Deagan was sick AGAIN! He was sick last year for their party... I hope he is not sick every year. We may have to cancel all future parties if that is the case because he can get a little grouchy. He started coming around once all the kids showed up though, thank goodness!
Deagan opening presents. He got a lot of good stuff, stuff he needed. Not a single noisy, obnoxious toy. I was very happy :)

Deagan's goodies...

Here is a video of Deagan hitting the pinata. After about five minutes we finally decided that someone should pull the string while Deagan gave it one more big hit. He was so excited.

Blowing out the candles and singing Happy Birthday... Dev wouldn't let us sing to him, party pooper.
Like the cake? I made it myself... It is supposed to be a race track...it looked better before Deagan helped himself to the two other cars on it. I pictured it coming out a lot better, but oh well I tried.

These were both taken after we got home

Deagan and his awesome Lightning McQueen rubber boots he got from his Aunt Riley.

Coloring in his new Diego coloring book his grammy and dudey got him.

Dev got some good stuff too... The boys and I got him a bbq grill, he got some new steps to put on his truck and utensils and a cover for his grill. It was a fun party though and I think everyone had a good time. Thank you all who came and helped out and big thanks to Mike and Melissa for letting us do it at your house and for cooking the yummy dinner :)
Since we have been home we have had a house full of sick people... all four of us have been sick. Dev and I have just had colds and I am pretty much over mine. Deagan has a really bad cough and runny nose, but is finally getting over it. Just in time for Treyden to get a runny nose and little cough. I tried the best I could to keep Deagan away from him but it is so hard when all of us are sick. I took both the boys to the Dr. on Monday and she was not too concerned about either of them so I really hope they get better and not worse. It is so scary having a sick newborn.
My house is a mess and we still have not developed any type of schedule, but that will all come in time... I am trying not to get stressed out about it and just let things be. Things are definitely a lot more hectic with two kids. But we love our new family of four and wouldn't change it for the world. We have two beautiful little boys who bring such a sweet spirit into our home.

My Amazing Husband

The last few days have been pretty rough... I started feeling sick Saturday morning while we were doing some grocery shopping and thought I could just go home and sleep it off... well that didn't work and I felt even worse on Sunday so I called my Dr. who informed me I have mastitis. LOVELY! Just what I wanted to hear. Haha. So, anyway while I have been recovering from this Dev has totally been picking up the slack around here. He has been awesome... he has made dinner for Deagan and I every night and has been SO helpful with the boys. He has even been changing poopy diapers, which NEVER happens due to his extremely sensitive gag reflex. I am such a lucky girl to have this amazing husband who works hard all day and still comes home and takes care of me and our two boys so that I can rest and get better. Thanks babe, I love you so much.
