[five] months old... already??

Our baby boy is 5 months old as of yesterday. I cannot even believe that it has been 5 months already. He is growing up so fast. I forgot how fast this first year goes by. He has brought so much joy to our home and fits in perfectly... It feels like he has always been here. He is such a sweet and happy baby... he smiles at everyone, especially Deagan. He loves Deagan so much, it is amazing to see his big eyes light up anytime Deagan comes around. He just stares and smiles at him... Deagan is finally coming around and deciding maybe Treyden isn't so bad after all. He loves holding his little brother and especially loves reading him books [adorable] I will get video of it sometime.

It doesn't take much to make this little boy laugh these days. And he has the sweetest little laugh. He is talking a lot and makes all kinds of cute facial expressions. It is so fun to see his little personality start to come out. He is rolling over, he is no pro but he is getting pretty good... his round belly gets in the way a lot. He LOVES his rice cereal, and still is attached to his blue blankie. He loves bathtime and is starting to like tummy time more and more. We moved him into his crib a couple of nights ago and he is doing awesome... still sleeping through the night. It was Deagan's idea, he said that Treyden was ready to sleep in his room with him. We couldn't argue, we knew it was time... it just seems crazy that he is already old enough to be in his own bed, out of our room... didn't I just have him?? Oh well. Deagan is enjoying his new roomie. He is so funny. He can hardly stand it when Treyden is sleeping... he always wants to wake him up so they can "play" I love seeing my boys together and the love that they have for each other. I am so blessed to get to be their mommy. They teach me so much [everyday].

Here are some pictures of Treyden over the last month... he is getting so big... and his hair may be red? Or as Dev would like to say, a light brown with a red tint. Haha. Whatever, he is still [adorable].

Our Little Deagan

So... as most of you may know Deagan is a terrible sleeper. Always has been. Every once in awhile he will get a good nights sleep in... as long as he can sleep with someone. Dev and I take 100% of the blame for this. When he was a baby we always let him sleep in our bed... not good. And when we moved to the valley Dev worked nights so I was always home alone, so of course I let him sleep in bed with me... so maybe all of this is really my fault. Well lesson learned! And you better believe that Treyden DOES NOT and WILL NOT sleep in our bed :) Anyway! When we found out we were having a baby we decided it was definitely time for Deagan to sleep in his own bed... well Treyden is almost five months old and we still have yet to go through an entire night without being woken up by him just we can take him back to his room and put him back to sleep. Ridiculous I know. But atleast he will sleep in his own bed now, every once in awhile he puts up a tough fight but he still does it. It is progress... slow slow progress... So, anyway I was so excited this morning when I woke up because Deagan did not come into our room one time. Holy cow he finally did it! He slept all night in his own bed! YES!... and then I walked around to Dev's side of the bed.... and saw this....

Haha. I am not sure how long he slept there, possibly all night... the little stinker. But, he does look so sweet laying there. So, we are still working on it... it may never happen. Oh well. What can ya do?? Atleast we have learned our lesson. And atleast we have one kid that will sleep through the night! Treyden has no problem with that one at all.

All Done!

Well our fence is all done. It looks so good. Thank you Chase and Dane for driving over here and helping. It is so nice to have our yard fenced in... now Deagan can go out and play and we don't have to worry about him running off. It is nice for Zoe too. Chase brought his daughter Brenna along with him. It was nice to have her here to keep Deagan company. They had a lot of fun together. She was a big fan of little Treyden :) So, now we have a fence and I am one happy mama! Thanks again guys. And of course thanks to my wonderful hubby :)

Cupcakes

Deagan and I were bored the other day so we decided to make Dev some cupcakes.... Deagan's favorite part was licking the bowl...

Yes... he made cupcakes in his underwear...

That would be his "yummy" face. He is such a crack up.

The weekend before last when we went up to Snowflake we left him there to play for the week and boy did we miss him. We always do. Our house is ridiculously quiet without him. Treyden and I were bored... my house stayed clean all week. We were so happy to have him back home, we all missed him. He has been pretty sweet since he has been back, I guess he missed us too. I didn't think so at first because when we went to get him and he told us, "I am not going back to Camp Verde!"... and then when we put him in the car he cried for like ten minutes. But then I guess he forgot about it and was fine. I think he especially missed Treyden, he has been all over him since he got home... I love to see them together, I hope they will always be close and best friends.

I love these 2 little boys. They are growing up so fast. Too fast. Sometimes I wish they could stay like this forever... They put a smile on my face everyday. They are amazing.

So Happy.

As I type this on this beautiful morning something wonderful is happening outside. There are three guys in my backyard building a fence. That's right I am FINALLY getting the fenced in backyard that I have been longing for... well more like begging for... but anyway, I cannot tell you how excited I am. The weather could not be more perfect. It has been pretty warm here the last few days but as of right now it is overcast and PERFECT fence building weather :) Dev has been digging holes everyday after work, and he hasn't been in the best mood... especially after he busted the neighbors water line last night... ooops. I know he will be happy when this fence is done, but not as happy as I will be.

My first calling

So... I got a calling. My first ever. I am the new nursery teacher. I am very happy with this calling, I love kids... and we have a lot of cuties in our ward so I am excited that I will get to know them all better. So far everyone has been like, "Oooh, that's a hard one, but you'll be great..." Haha. I am not sure what the hard part is yet... I am assuming it is getting their attention and keeping it... I am excited, nervous, scared, relieved... a little bit of everything. I am excited because I will get to teach Deagan and probably even Treyden someday. I am nervous because it is my first calling, I don't know what I am doing and I want to do a good job. I hope that I am able to teach these kids, and that I will be able to do it in a way that they understand. I am so scared of messing up! But, I am relieved that they are all really young and they wont know if I do! Haha. It will definitely be a learning experience for all of us... especially me! I know that I would never be given something I couldn't handle, and I am sure I will be fine... any tips would be greatly appreciated though :)
